Pupil started off in 2006 as Celebrity i-i covering CBB3. It was fairly popular so the site stayed open to cover BB7 as i7i. i7i was much more popular gaining over 2000 visiters which wasn't bad considering it was on freewebs at the time. Thus we reopened in January 2007 for CBB5 expecting it to be just as popular but unfortunately technical problems together with 'that' incident which caused BBs popularity to wane. So we closed early seamingly permanantly.
But with all the hype about BB8 going to be the best series yet we coudn't resist the oportunity to reopen. We knew our site had to be bigger and better than anything we had done before so freewebs was a no-go zone. After searching many hosts we decided that Moonfruit was the way to go. We decided to rename the site Pupil after the famous eye. BB8 came and it was our most successful season yet with over 4000 visitors. Soon after news leaked about Big Brother:Celebrity Hijack and we decided to reopen early to cover the pre-BB news. The site design was completely changed to a striking purple design to reflect the fact that for the first time, most of the series was going to be broadcast only on E4. We successfuly built up a loyal readerbase and even before the mini-series started we got over 2000 visitors. But unfortunately we got more technical hitches and we couldn't update the site until the very end of the mini-series. So we closed immediately after the BB:CH final.
We did return for BB9 in the hope that it will be a good season. And it was was, our new layout and design proved very popular. As usual we changed the design around half way through the season to keep it fresh. It wasn't our greatest season, many of our reporters left us just a third way into the series leaving us stranded. Oh well we WILL be back for CBB6 and we PROMISE to be better than in BB9, see you then!
